The name 'Silvertrace' refers to the formation of the photographic image in the emulsion on photographic film, which is made in silver. Whether the image is captured chemically or electronically, the residual message is traced in precious echoes of the photographed subject.
Each image, constructed or discovered, is traced into our rich history of visual material. To craft this image with care, and total commitment to the moment and all it offers for the future, is the challenge of the photographer.
